“Advance Australia fair?”

The concept of advancement is a good thing if it’s about civil and world peace, fair mindedness, and non-discrimination.

Truth and liberty are fine but also let’s remember these freedoms that we enjoy were hard fought for. From Gallipoli, Fromelles, Kokoda, and Hell Fire pass, Australian soldiers endured unimaginable horrors to cement our freedom.

Further environmental sustainability and non-pollution are essential for future generations.

Religious freedom, multiculturalism, anti-racism, sexual and cultural diversity are among the corner stones of our twenty first century laws.

Solidarity and community spirit are also essential for civil peace. But a responsible nation should not be obsessively inward-looking.

Liberty`s Sunrise Republic Anthem

Australians let us all rejoice.

Our hearts are true and free.

The sun and stars that shine above.

On flat and vast brown lands.

Such beauties rich and rare we love.

And visions grand and just.

So, for many creeds and coloured ones,

In work and play from all the lands,

Help one another with their load,

To make the most of every day.

And, with structures formed and self-resolve.

We share the land and build the works.

From dreams of time and spirits past.

That sow the seeds from hopes that last.

So, let us sing in joyful strings.

Advance Australia fair.

Advance Australia Fair National Anthem

Peter Dodds McCormick

Australians all let us rejoice,

For we are young and free;

We’ve golden soil and wealth for toil;

Our home is girt by sea;

Our land abounds in nature’s gifts,

Of beauty rich and rare;

In history’s page, let every stage

Advance Australia Fair.

In joyful strains then les us sing,

Advance Australia Fair.

Beneath our radiant Southern Cross

We’ll toil with hearts and hands;

To make this Commonwealth of ours

Renowned of all the lands;

For those who’ve come across the seas

We’ve boundless plains to share;

With courage let us all combine

To Advance Australia Fair.

In joyful strains then let us sing,

Advance Australia Fair.
